I have the Facebook blues, my condition has gotten so bad that I can not even go onto Facebook without experiencing a severe bout of depression. Why is it that everyone else's life looks great on Facebook? Why was no one else annoyed by their relatives, the postal system, and the cost of Christmas? When I logged on to Facebook this week I was greeted by pictures and stories of how everyone spent there new years eve, apparently everyone had a great time going out and everyone looked great doing it. My perfect new years eve night is staying at home laughing at the freezing folks in time square, but my ideal night in sweats on the couch could never measure up to the nights my Facebook friends had. Compared to their celebratory photos my night would seem pathetic. I can not help but wonder why are they all so happy all the time and why do they constantly feel the need to throw it in my face?
